Fics like The Sea's Sacrifices

Queen Hera of the oceans is a very jealous woman. She knows her husband and king enjoys young and beautiful playthings, so she started a tradition, many years ago. Every year, a virgin with the ability to carry children, no matter if they're female or male, but it had to be the 'most beautiful one of the kingdom' got sacrificed to appease the gods. There was a rift in the sea bed, so dangerous the merpeople only approached it when it was time for the sacrifice. What they don't know is that the rift connects the ocean with the underworld and the sacrifices arrive safe and sound in the kingdom of the demons. Demons are not very fertile, so the beautiful, fertile beings are seen as blessings from the gods. One day, it's Percy's turn to be sacrificed. He's pretty sure he died, because when he wakes up again, there's an angel with black, feathered wings standing above him.
