Fics like 50 Shades of Grey Redux

In his Friday evening phone call to Ana, Christian discovers that during their scene of the the previous weekend he had gone too far, leaving heavy bruises on her body. He is stunned because he unknowingly did so, and is deeply upset. He entreats Ana to come to him – not for sex - but so he can reassure her it was an accident. Unknown to him however, during their week apart Ana has decided to end their relationship, despite being in love with him. The aftermath of the previous weekend's scene has convinced her she can never meet Christian's needs as a partner, and she sees no future for them together as a couple. Reluctantly she agrees to see him though, realizing that when she does, she'll have to tell him it's over. The end of their call finds Christian engulfed with a spiraling apprehension that when he sees Ana she’ll tell him she’s had enough and it’s over between them. He pulls himself together and heads out for an early evening run, knowing it will bring some calm to his foreboding anxiety. During his run Christian falls into a reverie, remembering the beginnings of their relationship, Ana’s sexual awakening, and their first heavy D/s scene.
