Fics like Sparring Partners

“Little” Mac Ferrante had a fairly short career as a boxer; during said career, it is well known that he was accompanied often by his trainer, Doc Louis. But for most of his career, Doc wasn’t alone. A red and black cat could often be seen alongside the boxer during training sessions, often helping him prepare for future fights. Then, after one fight, the cat just disappeared. Mac never saw him again. A couple years later, Mac gets invited to a multiversal fighting tournament. One of the fighters is familiar to him.
