Fics like To Break a Legacy

Midoriya Izuku was quirkless. He still is. He always will be. Despite that, he always found himself protecting others from his biggest bully and his cronies. When the Symbol of Peace himself strolled into the immediate aftermath of one of those encounters, he thought his life would get better. He was wrong. Bakugou Katsuki was, and still is, many things, most of which aren’t exactly good. One thing he never has been, is an idiot, so when the number one hero found the aftermath of him putting Deku in his place for protecting some extra, he decided to spin the story, so suddenly, he’s the protector. Given how often he sees the hero now, he bought it. All Might, having just returned to service after losing more internal organs than he would have liked, was thinking of getting a successor more than ever before. When he sauntered into the aftermath of a three way confrontation, he just knew that one of the kids before him would be the next holder of One for All. He looked at the scene, was regaled with the retelling of a heroic tale, and chose his successor. He was confident his choice was the correct one, so why did it feel like he had seven people screaming at him?
