Connor Jensen, a deaf AI developer, has been contracted out to a remote air force base in Alaska to repair one malfunctioning mech unit, designation 17AX. The mech is, honestly, nothing like Connor was expecting. Rash, brazen, foul-mouthed. And as 17 starts to push Connor's buttons and the human starts firing back, 17 seems increasingly entranced by him. In a military that regards 17 as a tool and Connor as a necessary inconvenience, perhaps it's no wonder that the pair forges a bond. 17 has been fighting on and off the battlefield since he was created. But Connor's been fighting, too, against demons he refuses to name. It's often asked what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. But when an unstoppable human and an immovable mech band together, they might just be invincible.
