Fics like The Cop and the Cryptid

Prowl: the rational skeptic with a history in crime scene investigation. Mesothulas: the wide-eyed believer who's mastered—or at least dabbled in—every field of science under the sun. Together, they're Iacon's leading paranormal investigators. ... With a few twists. Twist #1: Both are stone cold skeptics, with Mesothulas only playing the believer for their clients—allowing them to become wildly successful as paranormal debunkers. Twist #2: They don't quite disbelieve in everything; they both know more than they'd let on about the Iaconian Spindleback, a local cryptid with an eight-legged alt-mode. Twist #3: They're about to learn that there are more true paranormal things on Cybertron than just the Spindleback.
