Fics like The Year Time Stopped

The moment Raquel sees Sergio at the bamboo bar in Palawan, they face an opportunity to build a life with one another. In the hours, weeks, and months that follow, they bravely excavate the pain of their complex pasts and navigate the challenges of caring for a child and aging parent, all while enjoying the unmatched pleasure of having found one's soulmate—and having risked everything to be together. Set against the backdrop of local Visayan culture, this fic details the emotionally textured year of life after Season 2. As Raquel and Sergio uncover their own motivations, fears, and revolutionary values, their courageous choices have the potential to impact their community, their relationship, and the future of our world. Author's Note: This work is canon-compliant with the original La Casa de Papel, now known to the world as S1-2. I don't condone the misogynistic messaging, sexualized violence, trivializing of real resistance movements, and out-of-character motivations and backstories in "Money Heist" S3-5.
