Derek is the kind of guy who casually threatens violence. He has it on good authority that he doesn't even actually have to say anything; just stand there and glower like the 'sourwolf' that he's been told he is. He usually doesn't follow through, but he usually doesn't have to, the glare is enough. But right now, he's never wanted to actually rip someone's throat out more. His wolf rolls just under the surface, wanting to take over and protect what's theirs, to take out the threat and make sure that Stiles smells like Derek inside and out.
