The Shilii are an extraterrestrial species old, powerful, and wise beyond human comprehension. Most people, when looking upon the nigh-incomprehensible might of the Shilii’s king, find themselves thinking about their small, fleeting, and ultimately meaningless place within the universe. Captain Zhang Jinsheng, who is not most people, finds himself thinking about how - one way or another - he’s going to tap that.
