Fics like attention

There’s someone behind him. This isn’t exactly unusual in the dance studio. They practice with each other, with backup dancers, with camera people. It’s rarer that Jimin doesn’t have eyes on his back at this point. But this is not an eyes situation. This is a feet, body, breath situation. And they aren’t goofing around right now, Hoseok is up front with his ‘bah-bah-bah’s and Jimin’s whole face is clenched into a frown as he forces his limbs to follow the steps in his head. The key is in not thinking too far forward. Get caught up in what’s coming up a minute down the line, and you forget what you’re doing right now. The key is also in not getting distracted by the sensation of air puffing over the back of your neck. The word Jiminie whispers over a notch in his spine and his vertebrae lock together in response, stomach squirming; his leg forgets what it’s doing and he pitches left instead of sliding, nearly eating linoleum. (Or: Jungkook has been especially annoying lately. Jimin can't figure out why)
