Fics like Bid the Stars Farewell

When two of their own are stolen from them by a powerful, avaricious archfey, four dolls that have become real (that have become family, that have only just begun to heal from their traumatic pasts) must set out on a perilous journey into a magical art museum fraught with wonder and danger and filled with new friends and foes alike in order to somehow find a way to retrieve their missing brothers and make their family whole once again. (Or: A study in family, in friendship, in empathy, the nature of truth, discovering yourself, and what it truly means to protect those you love, featuring: a light-footed dancer with moonlit hair and darkened eyes; a nihilistic monster who isn’t quite as wise as he thinks he is; a lonely, broken statue who knows far more than he lets on; two feuding angels that are equally fallen in different ways; a bird who’s actually a boy and doesn’t quite know it yet; a very sassy butterfly who’s not really a butterfly; and many, many more.)
