It was so sick, that as soon as he felt the rush of pain from the symbol on his back that hurled him from sleep, Riku couldn’t help but grin — even though he knew Sora must feel that same pain or worse. He knew that he should stop coming to calm Anti-Sora and let morning send the darkness away. But Riku couldn’t — wouldn’t — stop. Sora needed him. Riku would always protect him from the darkness, no matter how torturous it was to accomplish.
