“I'm not going to hire you,” Yoongi bites out. He would find someone else to care for him— Not this man with the shiny lips and the glowing skin. Not this Taehyung who is so gentle with his patients, yet reminds Yoongi of what he’ll never have. Taehyung furrows his brows. “Why? I answered your question.” “Because I can’t be dependent on some quirky idiot no matter what your medical degree says,” Yoongi retorts, already rolling away. “Good luck with your job search.” Behind him, a chair scrapes across the floor and Yoongi just knows that he isn't going to be free from this guy anytime soon. ————— After losing the love of his life three years ago, Taehyung vows to honor Yoonji’s memory by becoming a nurse, caring for the sick and elderly. Jaded by the tragic past, he resigns himself to a quiet life without attachment. Yoongi was an extravagant playboy trying to live up to his father’s expectations until a car accident ripped his life apart. Now he’s confined to a wheelchair and numb to his existence. Taehyung never expected to see Yoonji’s face again, especially reflected on his newest patient, and Yoongi never expected to regain the feeling in his cold heart.
