Fics like About You

Dean and Castiel were best friends in high school, but haven't technically seen each other since. It's 5 years later, Dean is out there doing his thing, Castiel is still hung up on him, and they're still emailing practically every night. When Dean says in an interview that his new single is about a special person in his life he wishes he could be with, Castiel is heartbroken. And he waits for that person to show up, or for Dean to reach out to them. But nothing happens. So he decides to take another look at the lyrics. And that's when some of Dean's descriptions start to sound familiar.
