Fics like Break the Silence. The Miner's Day Curse

In the Enchanted Forest of Auradon, the VK's and company were as notorious as the Merrymen. But after the Dark Curse brought them to Storybrooke, the VK's are just kids with their own personal baggage. They live normal lives, blind to the suffering of one of their own. In the Enchanted Forest of Auradon, he was the peace maker of VK's. The voice of reason who kept them out of trouble. But here in Storybrooke, he has no voice. He's just the son of a coward and a dead prostitute. And every year on Miner's Day ends the same way. Maybe this year, Rumple can get Emma to break the curse before its too late for Ben. -or- The Once Upon a Time/Descendants crossover where Ben has been made mute by the Dark Curse and Rumple is going to save his son, or kill everyone while trying. simul-post on Fanfiction.net
