“Miss, you really can’t be up here.” She doesn’t move, instead opting to observe the beautiful Seoul skyline. Crimson and salmon splay across the evening sky above a thin line of indigo, almost-black clouds scattered in between. The bustling city beneath glows warm amber lines along the streets. Stray strands of her hair are tossed up by the wind, shining like sparks against the brightness of the setting sun. “The sunset is beautiful, isn’t it?” She asks. Hyunjung sighs. “Yes, it is, but you have to leave. I don’t know how you got up here in the first place, but this is government property.” Hyunjung’s voice is authoritative and firm. She hums. “Alright, I’ll get going.” She turns around to face Hyunjung. The sun behind her casts shadows on her face, but even in the bad lighting Hyunjung can see her confident smile, eyes glinting with mischief. Her breath catches in her throat. “See you tomorrow.” Before Hyunjung can tell her that she most definitely should not see her here tomorrow, she steps up onto the railing and jumps.
