Fics like Spes Ardens

The phoenix down is just there under his clothes, feeling slightly warmer than his skin. Having it on becomes a new part of ordinary, like his wristband. Absence would be horrifying, but the presence is nothing notable. Until it isn’t. Written for the Hurt Noct Week Day 5: Teenage Noctis phoenix down’d after an assassination attempt.
