Fics like hand-me-downs (& please, a pick-me-up)

Heading to bed by nine o’clock, just as the sun goes down, isn’t exactly a new thing for Jeon Jungkook. Waking up just a few hours after turning in, however, is a whole nother story altogether. Especially since, upon doe-brown eyes fluttering open, he finds himself supine, limbs aching and stomach in knots, something blocking his airway—no, aiding his airway because shit, it’s hard to breathe. “Kook-ah, you’re going to be okay.” Seokjin is next to him, he realizes, warm hands brushing damp hair from his face, whispering words meant to soothe, meant to ease; yet, the abnormal shakiness ebbing from usually calm and collected Seokjin ruins the effect, and Jungkook doesn’t know whether to believe it: that he’ll be okay—whatever the hell is wrong with him. (or: Jungkook presents early, fear airborne in the shape of sea spray and lime scent, and the pack worries over his adamant refusal to their touch, no matter how gentle)
