Fics like In your court

At the end of the interview, Katya stands and rocks on the balls of her feet. She reaches into the pocket of her trousers to pull out her phone. It has a cracked screen and a clear case that’s covered in stickers, and Trixie begs her to buy a new one with her prize money. Katya snorts and shoves the phone into Trixie’s hands, a patient smile settling on her lips. She looks softer, in the glow of the sun that’s slowly disappearing from the sky; Trixie doesn’t tell her this but she does whisper a gentle thank you. “Give me your phone number,” Katya clears her throat. “I wanna know what you think of my playing on Tuesday.” ***** Katya is a tennis player and Trixie is a podcast host.
