Fics like Nine and a Half Weeks

On the cusp of high school graduation in a Midwestern city, eighteen-year-old Sherlock Holmes feels trapped. Despite his brilliance, his dreams are clouded by poverty, the chaos of his abusive, alcoholic father, and his own bad decisions. Then, one ordinary day, Sherlock sells a riding crop to a handsome Englishman, and everything changes. He doesn't know what hit him. Until he does. What begins as a brief, electric encounter becomes a much deeper connection, more intense, yet more tender than he could have ever imagined. As their relationship unfolds, challenging his mind, body, and heart, the story he has told himself about his future begins to change. This is a literary exploration of desire, vulnerability, and the power of being truly seen. It delves into grief, addiction, coming out, age differences, and the layered complexities of consent. There's sex, but also healing. There's kink, but also romance. And at its core, it's a queer coming-of-age story about finding love.
