He stared at Hank like he hung the sun and stars, and here Hank was, projecting. Again. Something brushed his shoulder and Hank couldn’t help but jump. He flinched away and moved his hands, but it was just Connor. It was always just Connor, standing a little too close, probing when Hank was at his worst. Standing at his side with worry in his eyes, staring up at him, and… Fuck. He was too old for this. He was too old and broken and fucked up to deserve this, but Connor made it too easy to want it anyway.
