When he saw that Yixing was staring at the mirror in shock, Yifan relaxed, chuckling. “You see your own face all the time, is it just now hitting you how ugly you are?” The flames dancing along his knuckles disappeared with a small curl of smoke. Yixing motioned for him to be quiet. “Come look in this mirror and tell me I haven’t gone crazy, please,” he said as calmly as he could manage. Yifan sighed but stepped up next to him and looked in the mirror. “Holy shit.” “Okay, so you see him too? I’m not crazy?” “Either we’re having a shared delusion, or there’s a boy waving at you in the mirror.” (or: a mama!au in which the value of found family is explored, bonds are created, and everyone learns that they're stronger together than they are apart, even when faced with incredible odds.)
