Could be read as a standalone. I wrote this as a prequel to the first crossover I ever wrote called 'A Dangerous Partnership', which is with Ghost Hunt. This story details how Aya gets his psychic powers and the deal he makes with Kritiker because of them. The major character death warning is about Schwartz. No one in Weiss dies. I just figured I'd warn the people who like those guys. Scwartz kidnaps Aya to replace Naru. They think they can control the swordsman, but are proven horribly wrong. The truth is that no one can. Both Kritiker and Schwartz learn this the hard way. While Youji finds out the feelings he has developed for Aya are returned and they all discover that the world is more than it seems.
