Fics like Dying Light: The Descent

The Tower had gone too quiet for weeks now. With no response, an ex-champion kickboxer named Mad Jack decides to drop by the Slums to check on family. Unfortunately for her, she is forced to make a detour right into the Coast of Scanderoon. If she wants to stay alive at this pitstop, Jack's gonna have to make buddies while 'studying' the infected. But she can't let anyone know the little side project she's been tasked with or the other secrets she has. No one outside the Ravs should know. Not even her cousin. What's more, something is lurking behind her, following far too close to her shadow... - Kyle Crane returns to Harran after his disappearance—a ruined city he once swore to save now changed for the worse. Now the so-called Hero of Harran has become a mutated monster, tormented by the ghosts of his past and the fear of what may have happened to those he left behind. He must navigate a fractured Harran with Mad Jack. Old allies will be met with new dangers lurking. But he doesn't know that Jack is searching for the man with the answers she needs. And unbeknownst to Jack, that man has been with her all along; Kyle Crane. Harran Arc starting. (DLC to the Following. Major Spoilers)
