Fics like Lights Entirely Extinguished

If you had asked him where he thought he would be at age twenty-five, Aizawa Shōta probably wouldn’t have said, “Sharing a crap apartment with this weird guy who’s somehow sort of become my friend, trying to kick a smoking habit, and failing to pay the bills with underground hero work.” He had, at one point, slightly more ambition for himself. But here he is, curled up on a futon in a room barely large enough to stretch out in, getting the shit kicked out of him on a semi-regular basis in the name of underground heroics and, presumably, the greater good. He’s been doing it for four years and will probably doing it for many more. What else is there? It turns out, the answer is "a lot." ----- In which Aizawa and Yagi disagree about a lot of things, and yet keep finding themselves together. Being a hero means different things for different people. Not being a hero anymore means nothing; it is unimaginable. It's also unavoidable, so at some point they're going to have to figure out how to talk about that. First, though, they have to figure out how to talk to each other. (Story starts pre-canon and continues through current manga chapters.)
