Fics like Editing Ender's Game

The Ender’s Game cinematic adaption had a fantastic cast, beautiful graphics and a sweeping film score, but I left the theatre greatly desiring some changes to the script. I am fascinated by text-to-film adaptions, and the screenwriter’s choices here brought up some interesting possibilities for discussion of emotion, character conflict, and moral complexity. If you’re interested in reading my ramblings, continue on. Chapters: 1: Fleshing Out the Toon Leaders (first up: Dink: the Jaded Mentor) 2: Petra Arkanian, Lady of War Amid a Den of Hyper-Competitive Little Boys 3: Giving Alai His Personality Back 4: Smiley-face Bandaids, Beginnings, and Juxtaposition 5: Where is Graff the Manipulative Bastard? 6: Bean, Cantankerous Device for Exposition 7: A Spotlight on Dragon Army 8: An aside: saving the pilots 9: The End
