Takes place during "City of Bones", right after the group first meets Magnus. He doesn't help without some form of payment, not even Clary guilt-tripping him is going to change that. So as payment, he requests some of Jace's time, because the little Shadowhunter intrigued him during their conversation. Magnus and Jace are very similar in that aspect, so it leads them to the bedroom rather quickly. What was supposed to be a one-night-stand leads to repeat performances as the Shadowhunters require Magnus' help more often.
