Fics like Welcome Home

Her NJ transit train pulls into the bowels of New York Penn at a little past 6:45, and MacKenzie slings her duffel bag over her shoulder, blinking back sleep as she steps into a steamy August morning, quickly making her way up the steps off the platform and up into the station to buy a second cup of coffee. She hasn’t slept in over twenty-four hours, and she’s still got miles and hours to go until she intends to rest. A version of Under the Waves where Mac comes home before the Ghouta attack, no one gets sarin dropped on them, and everyone is a lot happier.
