Fics like The Other Side
In which Castiel has no idea what pulled him out of Hell, but he knows that he doesn't expect Dean, or his puppy-dog eyed brother Sam (what sort of angel names were those anyway?) who happens to be on the run from the other angels. He and Anna are expecting an Apocalypse, they're not expecting two angels with secrets and vague hints. Castiel has no idea what to do. And why does everyone seem to think he knows Michael? ("Humans are such curious things,” the angel sounds amused. “I’m glad you find us entertaining,” Castiel turns around, and finding the angel too close, steps back. “Dean.” He warns. “Castiel,” the angel mocks, surprisingly sassy for a celestial being. "Named for the angel Cassiel. Cassie's nice enough, but she's far too nosy for her own good." “There really is an angel of Thursday?” he asks.)
