Fics like Just the Bits In Between

A trip to France reminds the Doctor and Rose to cherish the life they have together. Girl in the Fireplace fix-it. This is a complete fixit, with absolutely none of the cringe-worthy elements of the original present. There is no kiss, no romantic overtones between the Doctor and Reinette at all, no notion of the Doctor leaving Rose behind while he saves Reinette's life. Instead, there's a story of the Doctor and Rose meeting a French aristocrat at various points of her life and saving her--together.
