Logan Mitchell is expected to be the perfectly wholesome and perfect grandson his grandmother expects of him to be, especially after the woman makes Logan and his mother move closer to her so she could keep an eye on them. Not only does Logan have to worry about his grandmother harping on his back, but he also has to deal with hanging around the homophobic and crass society members, their only target being the 'town tart' Carlos Garcia and Logan's new friend. Logan turns to music as his way to escape the problems of his new life in the tiny town, violin taking him to happier times. This musical talent gets noticed by his next door neighbor and leader of the town greaser pack, the Rebels, Kendall Knight. Kendall thinks Logan is nothing but a prim and proper schoolboy that doesn't know how to be bad even if he wants to, Logan determined to show the boy wrong. After all, not like Logan wanted to be "perfect" anyways.
