Fics like Sticky Fingers

Steve rings the bell to the dingy apartment, and takes a step back, waiting for a response. He is still more than a little bit annoyed over the fact that he has to be here. Of course, he had not been naive enough to assume that his first week on the force would be a walk in the general park, but come on… He had at least hoped that he would have a chance to get out there and make a difference; to serve and protect and all that. Instead, here he is, in some run-down, seedy part of town, tracking down a common pickpocket. In which Steve tries to do his job as a police officer, but ends up biting off a little more than he can chew. After all, the police academy never taught him what to do when the suspect ends up handcuffing the cop, instead of the other way around...
